Choosing the right name not only makes it easier for your OA to be approved but also ensures compliance with Zalo’s policies, avoiding legal issues or confusion. Let me share a detailed process based on my experience and official guidelines.
Basic OA Name Format
An OA name should follow a simple formula: OA Name = [Prefix] + Main Name + [Suffix]. This makes the name clear, professional, and accurately reflective of your business nature.
- The main name is the core part and must fall into one of the following three categories:
- The name of the business or household business as stated on the Business Registration Certificate.
- A brand name/trademark that has been granted a Certificate from the Intellectual Property Office.
- Another trade name, such as the name of a service type, product, or project your business operates (if it does not fall under the two categories above).
- Prefixes and suffixes là các từ bổ sung để làm rõ hơn về loại hình doanh nghiệp, ngành nghề, dịch vụ, sản phẩm hoặc chi nhánh. Ví dụ, bạn có thể thêm “Cửa hàng”, “Chi nhánh” hoặc “Dịch vụ” để tên OA dễ hiểu hơn.
Important Notes When Naming
To ensure smooth OA verification, always follow the above format. If Zalo requests a name change, updates to your introduction, profile picture, or cover image, you can easily make updates via the management page: https://oa.zalo.me/manage/profile hoặc chọn Quản lý → Trang thông tin OA → Nút “Chỉnh sửa”.
Other OA Name Regulations

| Name Length | Must contain letters, at least 2 characters, and no more than 40 characters. |
| Capitalization | Only capitalize the first letter, proper nouns of businesses, or place names. |
| Special Characters | No special characters (@*#?), emojis, or symbols are allowed. Note: If the OA name contains special characters because it matches your registered business/household business name or certified trademark, you must provide supporting documents to use it. |
| Spelling | Vietnamese names must not be written without spaces, without diacritics, abbreviated, or with spelling mistakes. |
| Website-based Names | Tên OA đặt theo tên website/ tên miền thì cần đặt theo định dạng sau: [tên đầy đủ có dấu] + [tên đầy đủ địa chỉ tên miền viết liền và không gồm ký tự đặc biệt] Ví dụ: website là hangtonkho.vn, tên OA hợp lệ: “hangtonkhovn” hoặc “Hàng tồn kho – hangtonkhovn” |
| Phone Numbers | OA names must not contain phone numbers. |
| Generic Meanings | OA names must not contain generic terms unrelated to the business, its services, or products, and that may cause confusion (e.g., “Health is Gold,” “Healthy Sleep,” “No. 1 Binh Duong”) or clickbait phrases (e.g., “Guaranteed Cure”). Note: If the registered business name has a broad meaning (e.g., “Southern Equipment”), add a prefix such as “Company,” “Business,” “Household Business,” or “Store.” |
| Duplicate Names | OA names must not duplicate existing, successfully registered OA names under the same phone number. |
| Impersonation of Zalo/VNG | OA names must not impersonate Zalo/Zalo Shop/Zalo Ads, Zalo administrators, or VNG. |

Zalo does not allow business OAs to be registered in certain sensitive sectors to avoid confusion or fraud. Restricted areas include (but are not limited to):
- Misleading financial products and services, such as binary options.
- Public issuance of cryptocurrencies or activities related to cryptocurrencies.
- Auction models or similar business models.
Sau khi đăng ký, OA của bạn sẽ ở trạng thái “Đang chờ duyệt”. Trong quá trình này, đội ngũ quản trị Zalo OA có thể yêu cầu bổ sung tiền tố/hậu tố để làm rõ tên hơn, hoặc cung cấp thêm giấy tờ xác thực. Điều này giúp đảm bảo tính minh bạch và uy tín cho cộng đồng người dùng Zalo.

Lĩnh vực BĐS thường có nhiều quy định riêng vì tính chất phức tạp của dự án và thương hiệu. Bạn nên chú ý đến việc có cần thêm tiền tố “Dự án” hay không, để tránh bị yêu cầu chỉnh sửa hoặc xác thực thêm.
Trường Hợp Không Cần Tiền Tố “Dự án”
- Nếu tên OA mô tả cụ thể như “the property type + location“, ví dụ: “Đất nền Bình Định”. Điều này phù hợp cho các sản phẩm địa phương rõ ràng.
- If the OA name is the name of a completed property, without generic terms.
Trường Hợp Cần Thêm Tiền Tố “Dự án”
- Khi tên OA chỉ là danh từ chung chung về địa danh (tỉnh, thành phố, quận, huyện), ví dụ: “Dự án đất biển Vũng Tàu” – để làm rõ đây là dự án cụ thể.
- When the OA refers to a specific real estate project in a defined location.
- Hoặc khi kết hợp “"property type + brand name"” (thương hiệu phải nằm trong danh sách được công nhận), ví dụ: “Dự án biệt thự Zalo”.
Nếu tên OA không kèm thông tin loại hình BĐS cụ thể hoặc chữ “Dự án”, và trùng với tên doanh nghiệp/thương hiệu lớn, đội ngũ Zalo OA sẽ gửi yêu cầu xác thực thêm. Điều này giúp bảo vệ quyền lợi của các bên liên quan và tránh nhầm lẫn cho người dùng.
